This season, we have seen some amazing trends grace the catwalk. However, designer price tags can be crazy.
I really enjoy finding comparable trends in the bottom of bargain bins at second-hand and charity shops. Not to mention, the high-street produces some fantastic copies of current designer pieces. Wherever it is you manage to find your covetable garments, if high-end fashion shows have shown us one thing, it is that everything looks better in motion. We have all wanted a garment a whole lot more after we have seen it on a real, moving person. This doesn’t even have to be on a designer catwalk either; some of my favourite looks have been worn on the back of a random girl in the street.
A great way to build a successful YEAY channel is to give people what they want. Become your own trend forecaster! Seek out what’s going to be hot in magazines and online and have fun discovering similar looks without the hefty price tag. There is only one thing better than a bargain, and that’s a fashionable bargain.
Important elements to remember when producing your trend-forecasted product videos are:
- Suggest or compose a complete look with the garment or product you’re selling so the seller sees the potential it possesses.
- State where the trend is originating from or which designer is doing this – these are interesting facts which will entice the viewer.
- You don’t have to predict the future, play on past and present trends too.
- Think what would make you buy a product: a well lit video of a model walking in the garment and/or full look is always going to look good, but don’t forget to capture all angles and the important details.
