KALEIDOO Clothing: the future is vintage

KALEIDOO stands for fashion with attitude, independence and personality. The brand take vintage jackets, hoodies and tees and give them a fresh twist, breathing new life into old styles  – and adding standout touches to outfits around the world.

We caught up with the founders to find out more about their reworked YEAY collection.

Tell us a bit about KALEIDOO Clothing?

KALEIDOO is a vintage fashion brand created by Chris and Enny – we’re a couple that met back in 2008.

We are a small crew and we live and breathe vintage clothing 24/7.

A few years ago we started reworking retro clothing. It’s fun creating something that’s unique and one of a kind.

Where are you based?

We are based in Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻

When did you launch?

I wouldn’t describe it as a launch. It was more like venturing into the vintage clothing world. And it all started around five years ago in a small village near Riga.

How did you get into vintage fashion?

We started falling in love with the feeling of uncovering vintage clothes. We got a lot of inspiration from new generation magazines; Dazed, Fucking Young! Magazine, and so on.

What’s your advice for anyone who wants to create their own brand?

It’s important to do it in your own way. Be passionate about what you are doing. Work, work, work like RiRi. Be patient and you will make it!

Why do you think video is important for selling?

Selling with video helps customers see more details. Also making videos is fun because you get to play around and use your imagination.

What are your top three style tips?

#1 Shades
#2 Cap
#3 Secret ingredient

What’s on your Spotify playlist right now?

You can find our playlist by searching KALEIDOO!
